One ofWorld of Warcraft’snewest memes is a byproduct of the Evoker Legendary Weapon quest fromDragonflight. By shouting this new meme across Azeroth, this new quest is making history inWorld of Warcraftin more ways than one.InDragonflightPatch 10.1, Embers of Neltharion, Dracthyr Evokers received their first Legendary weapon. Players who defeat Sarkareth in the Aberrus raid have a chance to loot the Cracked Titan Gem, setting them on a short questline to craft Nasz’uro, the Unbound Legacy. Once they do, a text block is broadcast to everyone on the server, after whichtheWorld of Warcraftworld permanently changes.RELATED:World of Warcraft Begins Second Diablo 4 Crossover EventHowever, this broadcast doesn’t stop after the first person crafts Nasz’uro. Every time someone finishes the quest, players in every zone across the entire game still receive the message–and with more players looting theCracked Titan Gem inWorld of Warcraft, some busy servers are being constantly bombarded by the announcement. This frustration spun the quote into a copypasta meme that even the officialWorld of WarcraftTwitter got into the spirit of.

Legendary weapons tend to be the source of a lot of memes inWorld of Warcraft. The repetition of Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker, is one of the most well-known memes, with it still regularly hitting Trade chat nearly 20 years after the weapon was first obtainable. Likewise, the quest to acquire Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, makes an announcement to all of Stormwind, filling the sky of theWorld of Warcraftzone with Blue Dragonsand magic effects. While Nasz’uro’s broadcast is not as flashy, the fact it is spread to everyone on the server is a unique trait that will make the Legendary weapon go down in infamy.

As hilarious as the meme is, many players have legitimate frustrations with the Nasz’uro spam. While many believe it is reasonable for the broadcast to reach all of Thaldraszus or even the Dragon Isles, the message reaching as far as Argus or the Shadowlands is a bit much. These fans hopeWorld of Warcraftdials back the range of the announcementin futureDragonflightupdates.

Nevertheless, Nasz’uro’s triumphant roar has already echoed from atop the Seat of the Aspects and into the zeitgeist ofDragonflight. Even if the range is reduced in the future, many players will remember the Nasz’uro spam–fondly or otherwise–for years to come. Only time will tell if the Legendary weapon will leave as big animpact onWorld of Warcraftas Leeroy Jenkins, Rhonin’s “Citizens of Dalaran” speech, or Mankrik’s Wife.
