Dead By Daylighthas done a number of big-name crossovers over its history.Dead By Daylight’s crossovers first started with a crossover with theHalloweenfilm franchise. It was a big start for the game and brought the iconic Michael Meyers to the game as well as Laurie Strode and a map set in Haddonfield. This crossover was followed by Bill fromLeft 4 Deadbeing added to the game, although the crossover did not include any new killer. These initial crossovers were followed by crossovers with franchises likeTexas Chainsaw Massacre,A Nightmare on Elm Street,Saw,Scream,Stranger Things, andAsh Vs The Evil Dead. The crossovers thus far have included some of theDead By Daylight’s most popular killers and survivors, and have been extremely welcomed by fans of the games.
Most recently, however,Dead By Daylighthas had crossovers withSilent HillandResident Evil. Both titans of the horror game genre, both crossovers brought great iconic characters as well as some very unique mechanics to the game.Silent Hill’s Pyramid Head stills stands out amongstDead By Daylight’s stable of killers due to how aggressively the character can be played, whileResident Evil’s Nemesis makes an appearance as the only killer that brings additional enemies to the match with him. The survivors of both crossovers have also been well received by the community, especially players who are big fans of some of the most classic horror games in the industry. The crossovers have been so popular that many fans have taken to investing in speculating justwhat propertiesDead By Daylightwill crossover withnext.

EA recently announced aremake of the originalDead Space, and the game series is a perfect contender to crossover withDead By Daylight. The series has become a classic amongst horror game fans, and aspects like its dismemberment system and minimalistic HUD have become iconic emblems of the series. However, the crossover would also be a great opportunity forDead By Daylightto attract an excited fanbase that is anxious to get its hands on the new title, while also being able to bring a dose of industrial sci-fi toDead By Daylight. The aesthetic ofDead Spaceis unlike any other franchise inDead By Daylight, and a crossover could bring some very unique content to the game.

However, the crossover would also benefit EA as well. The originalDead Spaceseries was shut down afterDead Space 3failed to meet the lofty sales expectations that EA had set for it. Now that EA is trying to bring the series back, and with an entirely new development studio, a crossover withDead By Daylightwould be a great marketing opportunity for the game. Not only would it help get people excited for the new title, but it also would reachDead By Daylight’s large communityof players that all clearly love horror games and could want to tryDead Spaceafter playing a killer or survivor based on the new game.
As for what players could expect from aDead Spacecrossover withDead By Daylight, the options for a killer and survivor are very obvious.Dead Space’s Necromorphswould be a perfect killer inDead By Daylightand would bring a great bestial foe to the game. For its unique mechanics, the killer could be able to change forms into various Necromorphs from theDead Spacegames, with each one having slightly different advantages. Being able to run faster or hit harder could be a major benefit, for example, but would have the disadvantage of taking some time to change forms or becoming vulnerable to stuns.
For a survivor, the only clear option is Isaac Clarke. Isaac has become an iconic character across the games industry, and he would stand out from the survivors already present inDead By Daylight. For his special abilities, Isaac could draw on his history as an engineer to prevent generator explosions with stasis or give other players buffs while he works with them. He also could draw onDead Space 3’s controversial crafting mechanicto gather supplies across the map and create a one-time use weapon to stun the killer or complete a generator faster.
Of course, the crossover could also include a map inspired byDead Space’s claustrophobic industrial atmospheres. The dark interiors of theDead Spaceseries would help survivors be able to find places to hide, while its twisting hallways would help the killer ambush players or trap them in the maze-like USG Ishimura. The sci-fi lights and decorations would also help the crossover stand out from other maps in the game, and could make it a really special one for players to learn and play on. With howDead By Daylightdetails the backgrounds of its killersand survivors, the game could also pull from the extensiveDead Spacelore. Hopefully, fans will get some news on the future ofDead By Daylightsoon.
