Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warplayers have been having a blast with the game’s Outbreak mode, as Treyarch seemingly has a lot planned for the open-world Zombies offering. However, Outbreak is not without its glitches, as oneCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Wardiscovers a new bug tied to the Escort objective.

Escort is one of the tougherobjectives in Outbreak, as it sees players needing to protect a rover as it moves to three different points. After each point is hit, a random item will appear in the rover’s cage, ranging from random machines to helpful tools like crystals and power-ups. Even with the most beneficial drops, the task becomes significantly harder in higher world tiers, as mini bosses begin to spawn. As shown by Redditor Angel_0136, it seems that Mimics can be particularly dangerous on Escort.

A clip shared to Reddit by Angel_0136 begins withthe Mimic mini bossgrabbing the player, which is one of the enemy’s main attacks. While everything seems normal with the special animation, the Reddit user quickly finds that something has gone wrong after they are thrown back by the Dark Aether creature. Instead of landing on solid ground, they are thrown directly into the moving rover. This sees the player clipping right through the vehicle, but instead of falling out the other side, they are trapped directly in the center.

The next minute of the clip sees the player firingthe RAI K-84 Wonder Weaponat groups of Zombies, and while they do successfully kill a few of their undead foes, Angel_0136 remains stuck inside the Escort rover. Moving with the vehicle as it heads to the next checkpoint, the players in the Redditor’s group seem just as confused about the moment. Eventually, the rover approaches the portal, with the player likely unsure about their fate.

Though the portal damages players that touch it, Angel_0136 does not need to worry. Once it is reached, the rover fades away, spitting the player out when it does. While this is good news, asCall of DutyZombies fansnow know the glitch will fix itself if it happens in-game, hopefully it will get an official fix sooner rather than later. Still, the post’s title and many of the comments show that fans are taking the moment well, laughing at how strange it is as opposed to venting their frustrations with Treyarch.

Considering that Treyarch has solved several Outbreak-related issues already, while also adding somenew content like Sanatorium, it should not be too much longer before this bug is fixed. For now, though, gamers may want to be extra careful when facing off against Mimics during the Escort phases of an Outbreak game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
