No Rest For The Wickedhas plenty of quests, both main and side, to keep players invested in exploring the game’s brilliantly crafted world — as well as overcoming its many challenges.
Sometimes you will even get quests while in the middle of a much larger quest — such is the case when you find yourself needing to free the captiveRattiganwhile you make your way through theOf Rats and Raidersquest. In order to help Rattigan, you will need the key to theWagon Cell.
How To Free Rattigan In No Rest For The Wicked
Of Rats and Raiders is a very lengthy quest with many different components to it, including having todefeat a mighty boss enemy namedDarak. As you make your way through this quest, you will get various bodies of text to help navigate you to your next objective. One in particular is quite important to finding the Wagon Cell Key.
A vital piece of information for this quest is actually found while overhearing a conversation between two guards, who say their drunk colleague was sent to wash off in a fountain. They go on to say that it is this guard that has the keys you need.
Now that you know where your target was sent, you will need to find where it is. Below is an image of where you can find the locked-up Rattigan.
Head north down the steps and then run to the right of the screen. You don’t need to worry about getting into any fights, so you won’t need to check if youneed to repair your itemsbefore going to get the key. Take the first trail down, and you will make your way through some more steps.
Once you make your way to the bottom, you will find a statue directly in front of you with a path on both sides — take the one on the right, and you will come to a mosaic floor surrounded by steps. Look along the bottom steps of this mosaic, and you will find a pathway near the middle.
Once you come out the other side, head left. Do not use the stairs that are close to where you come out, keep heading left until you find another flight of stairs going down. You will see the fountain in the distance. Below is another image of the player character standing directly in front of the fountain.
This relatively short distance between Rattigan and the Fountain can put your mind at ease for the lack ofWhispers to Fast Travel. You will see what appears to be a corpse in front of the fountain. Approach the fountain and select the action to talk when prompted.
It turns out this is no corpse, just a passed-out guard that will snore when you attempt to talk with them. Expend this lack of dialog and you will acquire theWagon Cell Key. You can now make your way back to the Wagon Cell to give him the key. You will meet him again at the entrance to Sacrament’s sewers.
