Fully released in late 2022,Vampire Survivorstasks players with surviving an endless horde of monsters using the game’s diverse pool of characters. It continues to be one of the most popular roguelikes on the market, with the game consistently being among Steam’s most played titles. Part ofVampire Survivors’ success could be attributed to its steady stream of new content, and it seems like players can expect that aspect of the game to remain unchanged for the foreseeable future.
In a post on theVampire SurvivorsSteam events hub, lead developer Luca “poncle” Galante revealed the game’s Chaos Roadmap, which featured cryptic descriptions of all upcoming updates for the game that are already being developed behind the scenes. Galante did not explain any of the entries in the roadmap, and they even joked that they did not know which of the updates would arrive next. While some of the descriptions like Emeralds, West Woods, and Hammer were fairly straightforward, there were also more obscure ones like Top Secrets, Those People, and Mazerella. It is clear, however, that a lot of time and resources are being poured into the game.
Vampire Survivors Chaos Roadmap
Many fans welcomed the release of the Chaos Roadmap even though it only offered vague teases for future updates.Vampire Survivors' update 1.8, which is also known as The Deeplorable Update, only dropped earlier this month, so many players were probably not expecting to see a roadmap get released around the same time. “You’ve no idea how happy this makes me,” one person commented on theVampire SurvivorsTwitter post that announced the Chaos Roadmap.
In addition to dropping a major patch,Vampire Survivorsreleased a paid DLC that featured anAmong Uscollaborationon December 18. TitledEmergency Meeting, this expansion is the game’s third paid DLC following theTides of the Foscarithat came out in April and theLegacy of the Moonspellthat was released last year.
Those who choose to skip onEmergency Meetingcan spend their time playingVampire Survivors' new Adventure Modethat was added in update 1.8. All of this new content should keep players busy until the first updates featured inVampire Survivors' Chaos Roadmap get released.
