My Time at Sandrock Features Similar Gameplay to Stardew Valley
My Time at Sandrockis still in Early Access, but has slowly grown into a unique and polished experience. LikeStardew Valley,My Time at Sandrockfeatures a charming, almost hand-drawn art style and a focus on farming, crafting, and building. Players take on the role of a newcomer to the desert town of Sandrock, tasked with becoming a fledgling builder and making a new life for themselves. Most modern technology has been destroyed, so players must travel the game’s deserts, building machines and restoring the desert community of Sandrock.
My Time at Sandrockalso boasts a variety of character relationships, both as part of the main storyline and as romance options. Interaction is key to building a successful community, and in Sandrock’s desert biome, that community will face its fair share of challenges. These quests allow players to learn of the inhabitants' hopes and dreams, which may yield unique benefits, both material and functional.

Beneath itsfarming sim gameplay,My Time at Sandrockfeatures a deep and dark history and many dangers to face. During the event, humans were nearly eradicated, plunging them into 200 years of recovery without sunlight, called the Age of Darkness. A man named Peach eventually created a way to open the clouds in a few locations, giving way to the age in which theSandrocktakes place, The Day of the Bright Sun.
My Time at Sandrockfeatures combat and weapon crafting, as players must contend with the ramifications of humanity’s past mistakes. Builders will face wild animals, mutant monsters, and renegade AI as they explore the title’s post-apocalyptic world in search of materials, all of which are required to ensure humanity’s future is brighter than its past. Battles also result in experience points and unique loot, which allow the player-character to increase their stats and become a more effective builder. My Time at Sandrockis the perfect title for Switch fans hoping to dive into a modern farming sim with a unique twist.
