AlthoughMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinitereleased on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One just last week, it looks as if debut sales for the title have not been too substantial, at least as far as numbers in the United Kingdom are concerned. As a matter of fact, Capcom’sUltra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengersfor the Nintendo Switch, which released worldwide on Jun 22, 2025, ultimately managed to have a much more successful debut in the UK than the launch of the multi-platform crossover fighting game.

According to GamesIndustry.biz’s Christopher Dring,Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengerson Nintendo Switch had a much better debut in the UK on the Big N’s single system thanMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinitedid in the region. Unfortunately, though, he didn’t share any specific numbers to back up the claim, but considering the fact that the latter title didn’t even make the top ten on the UK’s weekly, all-format sales chart, it looks as ifUltra Street Fighter 2was far more coveted at its launch by comparison.

WhileMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinitedidn’t crack the top ten, it wasDestiny 2that reigned supreme in the number one spot for yet another week, as the science fiction shooter sequel from Bungie has already been proclaimed as havingthe biggest console game launch of 2017.Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengersat the very least nabbed the tenth spot on the charts when it debuted back in May of this year. Interested parties can get a look at the current list of the top ten games on the sales charts for the UK below.

DespiteMarvel vs. Capcom: Infinite’s less-than-stellar debut in the UK, the game itself has garnered a solid amount of critical praise, so it’s definitely interesting to see a relatively well-received title miss the sales mark so spectacularly. And considering the fact thatUltra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengersscored bigger in its first week on the single console of the Nintendo Switch, next week’s potential sales for the multi-platformMvC: Infinitedon’t look too bright.

Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengersis available for Nintendo Switch, whileMarvel vs. Capcom: Infiniteis out now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
