Twitch streamer Elias ‘Upset’ Lipp and his family discovered this when his wife, Paula, who herself is a streamer under the screenname paulaeal, recently became a target for harassment, including death threats.

Fnatic AD carry Upset left FNC at the 2021 LoL World Champions before the group stage began, his reason being a “family emergency.” He doesn’t appear to have been under any official pressure to disclose the full explanation to the public, but former Fnatic top laner Adam ‘Adam’ Maanane, now with BDS, didn’t seem to see it that way. Adam has speculated that Upset abandoned the team and “just left to join his girlfriend because she felt bad to be alone.” WithLeague of Legendsin consideration to become an Olympic event, it may disappoint fans to see such high-level players acting so immaturely.
Making matters worse, Upset’s wife Paula recently posted to her Twitter account that one of Adam’s decisions has led to her getting death threats. In protest of Upset leaving without a full explanation, Adam reportedly changed his username to ‘Lonely Wife UwU,’ a choice that Paula states is directly responsible for her being harassed daily. Upset has also weighed in against Adam, stating that he offered to talk with Adam in person and clear things up, but Adam has refused to respond. This isn’t the first time astreamer’s poor decisions have caused damage.
Upset theorized in a tweet that Adam was deliberately fueling hate toward Paula while avoiding conversation. A possible reason for this is drama, which can give a streamer a lot of attention very quickly, especially since BDS and Fnatic are expected to gohead-to-head in the LEC. For his part, Adam has reportedly attempted to call out Fnatic management for letting Upset leave as well as Upset for leaving. Reportedly, Adam’s username has now been changed to ‘me like solobolo.’
