PlayStation released a new list of the top downloaded games from the PlayStation Store for January 2021 that shows a large lineup of games. Some games on the list include familiar titles likeCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warthat players will recognize and other titles they might not.
ThePlayStationdownloads list consists of games for the PS4 and PS5, the PlayStation VR, and any other free-to-play games available on the PlayStation Store. The list contains downloads made in the regions of North America as well as Europe. Some of the titles on the list include major games such asCall of Duty: Warzone,Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla, along with a couple of new games as well.

The Free-to-play list covers PS4 and PS5 games with some players won’t be too surprised to find on the list. In ascending order, the US/Canada side hasSpellbreakin tenth place,Destiny 2in ninth followed byRec Room,Geshin Impact, thenRogue Companyin sixth.Apex Legendstakes fifth,Vigorin fourth, and the top three goes toFortnite,Warzone, andRocket Leaguein first. The Europe half is relatively the same exceptRec Roomis in tenth,Apex Legendsis eighth,Vigoris fifth, andeFootball PES 2021 Liteis fourth.
The PS VR list has the same top five games for both sides, withSuperhot VR,Job Simulator, andBeat Saberin the top three. They both haveVader ImmortalandThe Walking Dead: Saints & Sinnersas the fourth and fifth biggest downloads. After that, the list diverges with several different games on the list with the notable exception ofGun Club VRmaking the tenth spot for both sides.
The PS4 list has 20 games and shows similar results to the PS VR list with both sides sharing the same top three games and the rest diverging from there. The top three games includeMinecraft,Grand Theft Auto V, andBlack Ops Cold Warwith the highest downloads. From there, the list has different downloaded games for both sides, exceptThe Forest,Red Dead Redemption 2,ARK: Survival Evolved,Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla,andGang Beastsmaking it onto both halves of the list.
The PS5 list also has 20 games and breaks the pattern of sharing the same top three or five games as the previous lists did. Although it does have similar games for both regions such asDirt 5,Godfall,Sackboy: A Big Adventure,Demon’s Soul,Mortal Kombat 11, and more on the list. The list has bothMarvel’s Spider-Man: Miles MoralesandBlack Ops Cold Warmaking the top five but in different places. However,the newHitman 3made it to the second download spot for both regions on the PS5 list.
