Early Access seems like the best way to launch a game, andPalworldfollows many successful campaigns from the past.Dead Cells, for example, spent a year in Early Access and was a pretty full-fledged game upon release. Now, years later, it has received a ton of updates, including one that tied intoCastlevania.
Ark: Survival Evolvedis probably the closest Early Access equivalent toPalworldas it too was a survival game with vague monster-raising mechanics via dinosaurs. How willPalworldlook in a year? Will it even still exist or will Nintendo destroy it? Hard to say, but hopefully, these features can be added.

6Pal Upgrades
Make The Most Of Your Monsters
Pals need a bunch of improvements before the game launches into 1.0 status. First, it would be great if players could shift control to Pals once they were released. That way, players could have more control over what Pals do in battle. It would also be useful if players could summon multiple Pals at once, but it doesn’t have to be a large number.
The biggest upgrade Pals should get inPalworldconcerns their Partner Skills. Not all Pals get them, which is wild, but perhaps the developer already has plans to give every Pal an ability. It’s a big ask, but at least there aren’t a thousand Pals to write scripts for, unlike thePokemonseries.

5Co-Op Upgrades
Local Multiplayer With Pals
Palworld’s multiplayer right now is fine, but the net code could use some improvement. Also, it’s already been promised, butcrossplay would be greatto see sooner rather than later. These issues concern online functionality support, but it would be interesting if the developer tried to think outside the box for local co-op too.
What if a second player could jump into the role of a Pal? ThePokemonseries has never tried anything like this, but that’s because the human hero isn’t really participating in battle. If the developer implements Pal control to players like in the previous request, it shouldn’t be that hard to allow local co-op too. This would be a great idea for boss battles, making camp, gathering resources, and so on.

4Weapon Upgrades
Guns Should Unlock Faster
It’s wild to know that guns are locked way down the tech tree like around the 20-30s whenPalworldis known asPokemonwith guns. It takes a lot of dedication to get to them and, obviously, the best gear in any action RPG should be hidden until the end. However, the developer could put some of the earlier guns in lower tiers. For example, the first gun is a Musket while the second is a Makeshift Handgun.
Of the two, the Makeshift Handgun is decent and players shouldn’t even bother with the other. Besides lowering the tier levels, the developer should also add a weapon wheel menu in the game, especially since the gameplay never pauses. Finally, more melee weapon variety beyond clubs and spears would be nice too.

3Add A First-Person Mode

The third-person functionality works well right now. Between fighting in battles and gatheringresources like Wood, it never feels off inPalworld. However, some players prefer to play their RPGs in first-person to fully immerse themselves in the world they are inhabiting.
In theFalloutgames, players can switch between third and first-person on the fly. Having the option would be helpful, but there is another perspective that should be added too. The game needs a photo mode, and it doesn’t even have to pause the gameplay as that would understandably break some elements.Tom Clancy’s The Division 2has a photo mode and that game was always live, so it is possible.

2Camp Upgrades
Assign Jobs Directly To Pals
At camp, players can build a wealth of structures, from a house they can sleep within to storage containers for keeping materials or workbenches for crafting. Every Pal in the game has a random set of skills they are good at. For example, one of the best materials in the early hours ofPalworldis Ore.
Melting it down into Ingots requires a furnace and only Pals with fire proficiency, like Foxparks, can work these machines. The hope is that Pals will be smart enough to go where they are needed, but the AI isn’t great about that right now. That’s why players should be able to give direct orders to Pals at home base to make the workflow better. Also, a separate builder mode would make life easier too, perhaps from a top-down perspective.

1Quality Of Life Improvements
From Fast Travel To The UI
Lastly, there is a long list of smaller fixes that the game should implement. First, there should be an option to get rid of the UI or at least make it dynamic. For example, the UI naturally looks clunky inThe Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, whichPalworldborrows from, but players can turn it off completely. The developer should pick up on that too.
Even if the UI can’t be completely turned off, an option to get rid of the tutorial window or the stat upgrade reminder should be implemented. Lastly,Palworld’sfast travel optionsare not amazing. Players can only do it from the Palbox or from activated statues, which can be few and far between. If the developer doesn’t want free fast travel, then the game could allow players to craft items to return to their home base.
