The developers at Ubisoft Massive release an official teaser trailer for the forthcoming Last Stand DLC in its third-person shooter,Tom Clancy’s The Division.
Not too long ago, Ubisoft Massive put out a survey focusing onTom Clancy’s The Division’s Survival expansion from last year, which asked questions that led fans to speculate that the developer is considering addingDLC for a Last Man Standing or Battle Royale mode. While Ubisoft has failed to confirm as much, the company still plans on putting out what is purportedly the final portion of paid content forThe Division– Last Stand, that is – with the expansion’s teaser trailer having been released today.
As seen below in thevideo courtesy of the Ubisoft US YouTube channel, the teaser for Last Stand doesn’t offer much in the way of concrete details, but it does show off some of the environments would-be Agents will explore in the forthcoming expansion forThe Division. For instance, there is what looks to be a warehouse with bodies hanging from the ceiling, a cave-like construction site, and even an entertainment venue with an opulently designed stage and balcony seating.

In addition to the locales revealed inThe Division’s teaser trailer for itsLast Stand DLC, Ubisoft made sure to mention that more details about the expansion will be arriving incredibly soon. As a matter of fact, Last Stand is going to be officially revealed, discussed, and picked apart during a live stream event hosted by Ubisoft that will begin broadcasting tomorrow, January 19, at 8:00 AM PT / 11:00 AM ET on the third-person shooter’sTwitch channel.
Those who ownThe Division’s $40Season Passwill receive Last Stand once it launches for their platform of choice, but Ubisoft has failed to mention a specific release date for the expansion as of yet, and fans should expect it to be unveiled during tomorrow’s live stream. Of course, should there be Agents out there who didn’t pre-purchase all ofThe Division’s pieces of paid content with the Season Pass, Last Stand can be procured as a standalone item for $15.
For those unaware, Last Stand was supposed to follow the release ofThe Division’s Survival expansion in the summer of 2016 by launching sometime during the winter of last year. However, Ubisoft postponed the release of both DLC packages, with the company saying thatthe delay was due to “lingering issues"plaguing the game with problems since its went live.
While it seems as ifThe Divisionmight be recovering from its rather sizeable drop in its player base last year, with Ubisoft reporting a couple of months ago that the game’s"numbers . . . trending back in a positive direction” to launch levels, it will be interesting to see if Last Stand manages to increase the return of users even more so. Of course, it’s important to mention that the expansion may not goose player numbers across the board on day one of its release due to the game’s DLC potentially being put out as anXbox One timed-exclusivefor the first month of availability.
Tom Clancy’s The Divisionis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
