Nacon released a new launch trailer forAd Infinitumon its official YouTube channel. The two-minute, twenty-second video shows footage of the game’s gritty setting, shots ofeerily photo-realistic real-world scenesmixed in with shots of the undead humanoid monstrosities devouring corpses and charging at the player through glass windows. Some ominous British narration offers some insight into the story beats, accompanied by a minimalist orchestra in the background. The trailer ultimately ends with the tagline, “Nightmares Become Real,” before displaying the list of available platforms (PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X) and September 14 release date.
The comment section is very short at time of writing, but the few fans that showed up appeared rather excited about the game, praising the original storyline and stylization. One fan in particular noted how the setting was perfect due to World War 1 being a nightmareeven without literal monsters. Another suggested that aWorld of Darknessgame get made inAd Infinitum’s style. One fan noted that the trailer’s vibes reminded them of 2009’sNecroVisioN, while another replied that this game would be a lot better since it lacks the jank of that title and is a lot scarier.
Seeing howAd Infinitumis not tied to any existing franchise, the positive reception it’s getting is a good sign that it could do well simply for being a horror game, a genre that has spiked in popularity in recent years. Only time will tell whether it becomes hailed asone of the best horror games on its platforms, but thankfully not much time, as the release date forAd Infinitumrapidly approaches.
Ad Infinitumwill launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on July 12, 2025.
