Joining the relatively limited 5-star Harmony character roster inHonkai: Star Rail’s massive version 2.0 update, introducing the Land of Dreams, Penacony, Sparkle is an excellent support character that can fit into a variety of team compositions due to her unique and convenient abilities. That being said, while building her is relatively easier compared tooptimizing DPS characters, which requires focusing on more stats, like every character, she can become even more effective with an optimal build.
Fortunately, players have a good amount of options to ensure that Sparkle inHonkai: Star Railcan perform greatly, whether they are free-to-play or otherwise. With careful consideration of her kit and team synergies, players can craft an optimal build for Sparkle to excel in supporting their team during battles.
Best Sparkle Relics In Honkai: Star Rail
To make the most of what Sparkle has to offer, build her with the Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal set to increase her SPD, and more importantly, to increase her target Crit DMG by up to 36%. This is extremely useful for Sparkle’s gameplay as her entire kit revolves around increasing her targets Crit DMG. However, since her Ultimate targets all allies, she won’t be able to instantly add the two stacks of the Sacerdos' Relived Ordeal set. But, that’s not an issue as Sparkle will eventually do it on her second Skill casting, and she will keep it up for most of the combat duration.
As a second choice, considering that Sparkle requires Speed (over 150) and Crit DMG for her primary stats, it is recommended that players equip her with the 4-piece Messenger Traversing Hackerspace set to increase her ownspeed as well as to boost the team’s speed further. This can be particularly useful for tackling difficult end-game content that requires completing as quickly as possible, such as Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction.
On the other hand, the choice of Planar Ornaments depends on the team composition. Sparkle can work excellently in mono-Quantum team compositions due to her ascension ability increasing Quantum DMG. However, she can also synergize well with teams that benefit greatly fromskill point management, regardless of elemental affinity. For example, if players plan to primarily utilize Sparkle with Quantum characters like Seele or Qingque, the Penacony Land of Dreams Planar Ornament set can be quite beneficial. However, if she isused with characters like Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, a set such as Broken Keel can be more beneficial for increasing the team’s Crit DMG further. Otherwise, Sparkle does not need a set like Sprightly Vonwacq, since she can maintain a 3-turn Ultimate as long asshe’s equipped with an Energy RegenerationLink Rope, while also wearing Speed boots and a Crit DMG Body Piece.
While Sparkle would generallyneed 30% Effect RESfor Broken Keel setup, this stat is not undesirable for her since it can potentially improve her survivability and utility. With her ascension stats providing 10% and Broken Keel providing another 10%, players will only need to obtain 10% through some substats. Speaking of sub-stats, players are generally recommended to focus on Speed and Crit DMG primarily as these directly benefit her and the team, while DEF and HP stats will be secondary priorities for increasing her survivability further, considering that she can be quite squishy.

Sparkle is generally built similarly to other characters like Bronya specifically, and the best light cone option also generally reflects that. That being said, the Harmony light cone options are essentially focused on the team rather than the character on its own for the most part, and players have the flexibility to choose any of the available options, especially for the 4-star variants, depending on their inventory and team composition they have in mind, as they all can perform relatively similarly for utility. For example,Carve the Moon, Weave the CloudsorDance! Dance! Dance!both can easily be utilized to increase some stats of the team, while the best 3-star option,Choruscan work in teams that need more ATK boost to increase the DMG output.
It’s worth noting that since some of the options such asDreamville Adventure,Past and Future, orBut the Battle Isn’t Overconsider the character that will take action after Sparkle, players may want to pay great attention to the action order of the characters. Unlike Bronya, who advances forward an ally by 100%, Sparkle only does so for 50%, which may not be enough at times if the DPS character is relatively slow.
On the other hand, her signature lightcone,Earthly Escapade, is still going to be the best option for her without needing to pay attention to the action order as strictly. Formono-Quantum teams specifically, players may also want to utilizePlanetary Rendezvousto increase this element’s DMG even further.
Sparkle Trace Priority In Honkai: Star Rail
Considering the massive utility of her kit, players are recommended to ensure upgrading all of them equally, except for the Basic ATK, which doesn’t find much purpose except for dealing some damage. That being said, the trace priority for Sparkle should be:
