While there isn’t any news on a remake or sequel just yet, fans discovered that the entireThe Simpsons: Hit and Runsoundtrack was uploaded on Spotify and Apple Music by Disney and 20th Century Fox. It recently came up on people’s radars after Twitter user Out of Context 20th Century Fox posted about it on January 13, but there have been posts as early as September 2022 about the OST being available. Check it out below:

Many fans were confused as to why there was little to no promo aboutThe Simpson: Hit and Run’s OST, especially with the game turning 20 years old this year. Meanwhile, some saw this as a sign that a remake might be on the horizon with the help of Disney.

It might be too early to tell whetherThe Simpsons: Hit and Runwould make a sudden comeback based on this information, but it might just inspire developers to work on it because of the hype still surrounding the game. The only setback is that Radical Entertainment, the developer behind the title, had shut down back in 2012. Unless another team revivesThe Simpsons: Hit and Run, a remake might not be possible, but a sequel might still work. Evenformer Radical Entertainment producer Vlad Ceraldithought it will be a great idea to remake the game if someone would take the initiative.

With popular titles likeFinal Fantasy 7andResident Evil 4getting remakes and remastered versions, it’s not unlikely forThe Simpsons: Hit and Runto get its chance in some form in the future. Modders have alreadyreimagined it as an open-world game using Unreal Engine 5, so there’s a lot of potential for it to run on current-gen consoles.
