The many NPCs ofSkyrimhave been known for reacting and responding in strange ways through dialogue and their actions since the game was first released in 2011. OneSkyrimplayer has noticed an interesting detail about Ulundil as they attempt to fend off a powerful Elder Dragon near Windhelm.
Reddit user Vaultdweller717 recently posted a clip of their adventure inSkyrimin which they are close enough to the Windhelm Stable to encounter the owner of the building, Ulundil.Skyrimdragons attack suddenlywherever a player is, adding to the immersion of the RPG with a regular frequency. Whenever attacking near an outpost, NPC characters like Ulundil will step in and help, just like in the case of Vaultdweller717’s clip. Although Ulundil is normally a rather stationary and unresponsiveSkyrimcharacter, Vaultdweller717’s video shows the NPC in a new light after an Elder Dragon invades the area.

Vaultdweller717’sSkyrimclip begins with the player taking one final swing at the Elder Dragon with their one-handed Imperial Sword, while Ulundil mounts the neck of the dragon. Stabbing downwards ferociously, Ulundil tells the dragon to die before it ultimately succumbs to the NPC, who then suggests that the Elder Dragon ran off. Before theSkyrimvideo concludes, Ulundil is walking away casually as he’s interrupted by the flabbergasted Dragonborn who asks if the NPC is worried about the dragons. As for the aforementioned Elder Dragon, it cremates into a Dragon Shout next to Ulundil, who ignores it just likeotherSkyrimNPCs.
Responding to Vaultdweller717’s question in theSkyrimclip, Ulundil hinted s at his dragon hunting prowess by saying his dad told him there’s no sense worrying about the powerful beasts. Vaultdweller717 absorbed theDragon Soulas Ulundil spoke candidly about being more alright with dying to a dragon than living in fear of the suddenly spawning creatures. After theSkyrimvideo finishes, it’s likely that Ulundil returned to the Windhelm Stable as if no altercation with the Elder Dragon had ever taken place, while Vaultdweller717 is left shocked by his power.
Skyrimplayers don’t often see NPCs like Ulundil fighting a dragon to such a successful degree, though they do pitch in however they can when in the presence of one. Although Vaultdweller717 was fighting the dragon with an Imperial Sword, one fan noted that Ulundil killed theSkyrimdragonusing a steel dagger, which notably does a lot less damage. While one response dubbed Ulundil a gangster, several others praised the NPC’s dialogue after defeating the dragon as being a flex of its own.
