Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Mr. Freeze fromBatman & Robin(1997), Freddy Krueger fromA Nightmare on Elm Street(1987), andThe Simpsons' Homer Simpson — these are only a few of the countless interpretations thatRed Dead Onlineplayers have welcomed into the game through comparable custom characters. Now, another iconic character has been brought into the world ofRed Dead Online.

God of War: Ragnarok’s initial announcement only provided fans with a logo. However,God of War: Ragnarok’s PlayStation Showcase appearancegave a fully fledged trailer that includes several hints and teases toward the narrative and characters that it will follow in order to conclude its Norse mythology two-parter. But while fans have to wait another year-or-so to control KratosGod of War’s sequel, they can see the protagonist as the latest custom character thatRed Dead Onlinehas produced.

HeySoloSoyYo, whoseprolificRed Dead Onlinecustom workhas generated characters such as Wesley Snipes' Blade andEl Chavo del Ocho’s Don Ramon, has now adapted Kratos - including a comparison to how the rage-filled father looks in the upcoming sequel.God of War: Ragnaroklooks to be decidedly more wintry than its predecessor, and as such, Kratos is seen cloaked in furs to accommodate for the biting climate. HeySoloSoyYo’s Kratos dons a similar fur pelt that instead covers the custom character’s torso, but is still used to the same effect.

HeySoloSoyYo’s Kratos is given an immense beard that becomes a test of patience toachieve inRed Dead Redemption 2. With the full, mountainous beard and bald head combination, the character already emulates Kratos' iconic redesign fromGod of War. However, HeySoloSoyYo takes their interpretation a step further with regard to authenticity, placing scars and blemishes that are only barely perceptible on Kratos' face beneath and above his beard.

In an effort to complete the look and atmosphere of the character, HeySoloSoyYo employs Mount Hagen and the Grizzlies West region to emulate Midgard’s frigid realm. Kratos is also seen wieldingRed Dead Online’s Ancient Tomahawk projectile, which is perhaps the closest comparable weapon that the player could apply toGod of War’s mystical Leviathan Axe. HeySoloSoyYo’s Kratos also has a bow, which perhaps is the custom creator’s way of involving Kratos' son and the player’s AI companion, Atreus, into the customization as well.

While many ofGod of War’s mechanics are unable to make their way intoRed Dead Online, it is still fun to see creative character customizations adapt these franchise heavyweights into theRed Dead Redemptionuniverse.
