Magikarp also introduced a new evolution mechanic toPokemon Unite, utilizing an “effort meter” for its evolution instead of the standard level requirement. Now, one ofPokemon Scarlet and Violet’s legendary Pokemon is set to join the fray.
During Tuesday’s Pokemon Presents broadcast,Pokemon Uniteofficially revealed the next three Pokemon joining the game’s playable cast. Miraidon was confirmed as the next Pokemon to join the roster, withthePokemon Violetlegendarybeing added to the game today. Following Miraidon,Pokemon Sword and Shieldnewcomer Falinks will be the next Pokemon added to the game, set to arrive during April. Ceruledge was also confirmed to be joiningPokemon Uniteat an unknown date, simply listed as “Coming Soon” within the trailer.
Pokemon Unite Announces Three New Pokemon
While the trailer did not give any details about how any ofPokemon Unite’s new members will play,Pokemon Unitedid show a skew towards one specific ninth-generation game. The addition of Miraidon and Ceruledge introducestwo Pokemon found exclusively inPokemon Violetto the MOBA’s roster.Pokemon Unitepreviously introduced its first ninth-generation Pokemon in December, bringing the Grass Starter Pokemon Meowscarada to the game. The Pokemon Company did not confirm whetherPokemon Unitewould see the addition of each Pokemon’s alternate versions, Koraidon and Armarouge.
