An upcomingPokemon Sun and Moonevent has leaked and is arriving surprisingly soon. According to Serebii, a level 50 “Battle-Ready” Salazzle is going to become available exclusively from GameStop stores mid-August. While no official announcement has yet been made by GameStop or the Pokemon Company, promotional fliers are already being handed out. Salazzle may not be a particularly rare or exclusive Pokemon, but any free Pokemon is a good deal forPokemon SunandPokemon Moonplayers.
According to the leaked flier, Salazzle will be available from GameStop stores starting August 14 lasting through September 4. ThePokemonitself will be level 50 and feature a move-set including Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower. The Salazzle will be empowered with its standard ability, Corosion, which allows it to poison all Pokemon no matter their type, Steel and Poison-type included. In the Salazzle’s hands, meanwhile, will be a Focus Slash, preventing the Salazzle from fainting in a single hit.
For the time being, consider the Salazzle event a rumor. While the flier from GameStop appears official and the event itself has been rumored for some time, certain details could be changed or the event rescheduled/canceled. As such, it’s best to wait for official confirmation from either GameStop or The Pokemon Company before making plans. After all, making the trip to a GameStop isn’t always the easiest thing to do.
Those who are planning to take part in the specialPokemon SunandPokemon MoonSalazzle event will be able to make the most of another distribution event at the same time. GameStop is holding an exclusiveMythical Pokemon Arceusevent, running from August 1 through 24. Arceus will be a spectacular addition to any Pokemon trainer’s line-up as it comes pre-leveled to 100. This one is for previousPokemongenerations, though, as onlyPokemon X,Y,Alpha Sapphire, andOmega Rubyplayers will be able to acquire it.
ForPokemon SunandMoonplayers without a local GameStop, there are still events worth checking out from the comfort of one’s home. TheShiny Tapu Koko eventremains ongoing, only requiring players to open up the Mystery Gift menu and select Receive Gift. Shiny Tapu Koko is only available through August 14, perfect for players growing impatient for the upcoming Salazzle distribution.
