One gamer mods a fan-favorite character fromPokemon SunandPokemon Mooninto the Wii U version ofSuper Smash Bros., while teasing work on some additional villains for inclusion.

It’s always interesting to see theSuper Smash Bros.series constantly finding ways to reemerge from the cusp of irrelevancy, although that’s thanks can largely be paid to the gamers that continue to play it. Indeed, the community surrounding Nintendo’s all-star fight title is a large one, but despite featuring an ever-growing roster of iconic characters, there are always a few more that fans would like to see join the fray. For example, characters from the recently releasedPokemon SunandPokemon Moon– both of which arrived after the release ofSuper Smash Bros.for the Nintendo Wii U.

Much to the delight ofPokemonfans, however, one gamer known as Scorpob (with the texture expertise of Krakelak) has taken the liberty of modding a few of the franchise’s newer characters into the crossover-centric madness known asSmash Bros.. Previously helping to bringSunandMoon’s Lillie and Cosmog toSmash, Scorpob doesn’t seem to be slowing down. This fan’s latest addition? None other than the Aether Foundation’s mysterious secretary, Wicke.

The mod was first spotted byKotakuafter being shared onScorpob’s Twitter account, but it’s safe to say that the addition Wicke is sure to place a smile on the face of anyone that has been enjoying the latest installments of thePocket Monsterfranchise thus far. The skin in question can be found on GameBanana, much like the previous ones worked on by this fan, but players will quickly realize that they’re taking on the moveset of Peach with this alleged villain.

Wicke may not have an original set of moves, but it’s always cool to see new characters added to the roster – albeit through an unofficial means. Having said that, it’s possible that fans can look forward to more characters debuting inSuper Smash Bros.in the very near future, thanks to the imminent arrival of theNintendo Switch in March. Rumors currently pegSmash Brosto receive a port on the new hardware, and if that pans out then there’s a chance that new fighters could follow.

Of course, since the Pokemon themselves have taken center stage within the fighting game thus far – with the addition ofMewtwo being the last franchise mainstay to be added as DLC toSmash– it’s likely that Wicke will not make the cut. Still, crazier thing have happened.

Super Smash Bros.is currently available on Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
