Pokemon GOhas hosted Spotlight Hours for a while now. These events take place every week on the same day at the same time, allowing players to catch a bunch of that week’s chosen Pokemon. This also opens up the possibility of getting a Shiny Pokemon.
These events only last an hour, so players will need to plan accordingly to get the most out of it. These are free events, so they are beneficial for players to want to take part in them. Several of each spotlighted Pokemon will spawn throughout the time that the event is live. During July, a handful of Pokemon are coming to the Spotlights. July Spotlight Hour Dates and Times
Each Tuesday at 6-7pm local time, a specific Pokemon will be spawning at a much higher rate than normal, without any extra requirements of the player. Below is a list of Pokemon and the days that they will be featured in the Spotlight Hour.
These events will be taking over every Tuesday over the July until the end of the month. In August, different Pokemon will take their place.

Does Rufflet Have A Shiny?
Rufflet, a Normal/Flying-type who will be in the July 4 Spotlight hour will feature,does have a Shiny. Instead of its normal blue coloring, the bird Pokemon will display a brown color matching those of an eagle for its rare Shiny variant.
Does Wailmer Have A Shiny?
Wailmer, a Water-type who will be July 11’s Spotlight hour, does have a Shiny. This is a personal favorite of many fans, as the Pokemon takes ona purple colorfor its Shiny variant.
Does Rhyhorn Have A Shiny?
Rhyhorn, a Rock/Ground-type Pokemon, will be featured in the spotlight hour on July 18. This original variant of this Pokemon is a grayish blue, and the Shiny will be a sandy brown color.
Does Yungoos Have A Shiny?
Yungoos, the Normal type who will be the spotlight hour Pokemon for July 25, also offers a Shiny. This Shiny features some purple-pink color stripes instead of light yellow.
