The official start to summer is here andPokemon GOplayers have plenty of warm weather activities to enjoy as the final weeks of June approach. In addition to the popularLegendary and Mega Battle Raidsthat have been raging on this week, trainers are also preparing for this month’s Community Day activities. As always, the monthly event will put the spotlight on one special pokemon and offer players a long list of bonuses and features to enjoy throughout the timed event.
Deino Community Day will kick off on Saturday, July 01, 2025 inPokemon GOand provide some extra special bonuses for participating trainers.The Season of Go activitieshave been all about getting out and exploring the real world so far, so it’s no surprise that this month’s big Community Day bonus relates to Egg hatching. Players are going to be able to put their Incubators to good use this weekend and enjoy some 1/4 hatch distances during the event in addition to the other incentives.

Deino is a pretty popular Pokemon for a number of reasons. First off, the rare dual typing of Dragon and Dark Pokemon make Deino a great way to earn some top tier catch badges for trainers who haven’t managed to finish theirDragon-badge progressyet (one of the hardest in the game to advance). In addition to that, the event’s exclusive move is an interesting addition to Deino’s arsenal and could open up some exciting new PvP or PvE strategies going forward.
Start and End Times
From 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time
Starting in February 2019, Community Day events now always take place on local time, no matter where you are playing. That changes a bit over the winter months as the time is split between hemispheres rather than time zones. It looks like we’re back to one time at this point though.
Special Move
Evolve Zweilous (Deino’s Evolution) during the event or up to five hours afterwards to get a Hydreigon that knows the Charged Attack Brutal Swing
Make sure to evolve during the active time window (within two hours of the event ending) if you want to secure the exclusive move.
Bonuses
Shiny Variant
Niantic usually doesn’t confirm the shiny chance until after the event has started, but keep an eye out for shiny Deino while hunting. They’ve been a part of every other Community Day event, so we fully expect to see them this month, as well.
Deino’s Community Day event arrives in just a few days, so be sure to take care of any preparations to in-game inventory and storage space now.
