The original Paras is a dual-type Bug / Grass Pokemon, so it’s fascinating to see what it could look like if the early design had taken a different turn. It’s awesome to see how the artist changes specific elements of the original design based on the new design. For example, the mushrooms on the head of the original design become bolts on the Steel-type, and they become roaring flames on the Fire-type. One user in the thread pointed out how hilarious it was that the Psychic-type has much larger pupils than the rest, which is a great piece of attention to detail.

It’s only been two years since Generation 9 was released, and while Game Freak remains quiet about when a new set ofPokemongames will be released, it’s almost guaranteed that they’re in development, considering the ongoing popularity of the franchise.
