Summary

APokemonfan has shared a charming piece of artwork that shows what it would look like if Growlithe, Eevee, and Cubone were put together into one fusion Pokemon. ThePokemonart is an interesting look at what the series could be like if more of its pocket monsters fused.

Pokemon fusion is a popular topic for fan artfor the series, but in general, Pokemon fusions are relatively rare in the actual series canon. The most common form of Pokemon fusion players come across is multiple creatures of the same species merging to form a single Pokemon, like two Koffing becoming Weezing, or three Magnemite becoming a single Magneton. These kinds of fusions usually just create slight variations on the original solo Pokemon’s design, but the merging of totally separate Pokemon is more common when it comes to fan art Pokemon fusion creations.

Pokemonfan sp00kiesncream shared their Pokemon fusion with fellow fans of the series, and has received quite a bit of praise for their creation. The unique Pokemon doesn’t have a name, but does a great job of combining Growlithe, Eevee, andCubone. Growlithe makes up the basic body of the Pokemon, while Eevee’s neck ruff and fluffy tail and Cubone’s skull mask and eyes finish off the look. The artist originally created a sketch version of the Pokemon on paper, and then created this polished version in an attempt to emulate originalPokemonart by Ken Sugimori.

These three Pokemon don’t have much in common when it comes to typing, with the three originally having Fire, Normal, andGround-typing, respectively. However, they do have fairly similar color palettes and some dog-like features, which may have at least partially inspired this particular combination. While it’s highly unlikely that this particular trio of Pokemon will ever merge to form a single one in the official games, this piece of art offers a glimpse into what it might be like if it did happen.

Will Pokemon Fusions Feature in Future Games?

Pokemon fusions have appeared in most of the major games, just in limited amounts.Pokemon Scarlet and Violetfeatured some of its own, like Wugtrio or Dipplin, which was added in The Teal Mask DLc for the pair of games.Pokemon GOhas also added fusionsfrom the core titles. With that in mind, it’s highly likely that new fusion Pokemon will make an appearance in futurePokemongames. Whether that includesPokemon Legends: Z-Aremains to be seen, but fans of fan art like this are likely hopeful to see more official Pokemon fusions in addition to fan works.
