The demo forPikmin 3 Deluxewas released back in early October and has since gotten many in the gaming community excited for the upcoming port of the popular Wii U title. It’s been well over seven years sincePikmin 3first released, and now the Switch port will allow a plethora of new people to experiencePikminfor the first time. While the demo itself has a lot to offer on its own, one user has managed to access a whole entire segment that was not intended for players to get to in the demo.

As previously mentioned,Pikmin 3initially released on the Wii U back in 2013 and was the first newPikmintitle to come out since 2004. Weirdly enough,Pikmin 3was actually taken off the Wii U e-shopfor a period of time but was quickly put back up.

The demo forPikmin 3 Deluxehas quite a large amount of content already, which gives players a decent idea of what to expect from the rest of the game. However, one user by the name of APerson13 has managed to glitch the demo into unlocking additional content that is otherwise not featured by going through a series of glitches that unlock previously inaccessible terrain.

APerson13 access the area around the five-minute mark and goes on to fight the game’s second boss, the Vehemoth Phosbat. Presumably, there was supposed to be anadditionalPikmin 3side storythat unlocks after beating the boss, but due to some missing game files not included in the demo, it just causes the game to crash.

In any case, it’s impressive that someone was not only able to reach this point in the demo, but the fact that the boss was actually playable when it wasn’t intended to be. Given how much variance there is in terms ofPikmin abilities and colors, it seems likely that someone would be able to unlock this area, but not without a great deal of effort and time.

It will be nice whenPikmin 3 Deluxefinally releases. Outside ofSuper Smash Bros. Ultimate,Pikminhasn’t exactly been featured on any sort of Nintendo platform within the last several years. While this port wasn’t the fourthPikmininstallment that a lot of fans were likely looking forward to, it still gives others the chance to experiencePikminin a whole new way and for some, the very first time.
