The newSpider-Man: No Way HomeTV spot shows Electro appreciating the new world that he has discovered. “Look at this place, and all the possibilities,” he is heard saying. It is a clear hint towards the carnage he is planning to cause in this world, after having done the same in 2014’sThe Amazing Spider-Man 2. While Foxx’s Electro has already featured in thesecond trailer forSpider-Man: No Way Home, the new TV spot offers a closer look at his suit and abilities, as he is seen generating a massive amount of power from his body.
Foxx first appeared as Electro in 2014’sThe Amazing Spider-Man 2and is among a list of returning actors who will be reprising their respectiveSpider-Manroles for the upcoming film. All thevillains spotted in theSpider-Man: No Way Hometrailers so far are from the non-MCUSpider-Manfilms, and they all seem to be coming together to bring the Multiverse to life. When Foxx first appeared as Electro, though, he faced Andrew Garfield’s version of the titular character, so it will be interesting to see him go up against Holland’s Spider-Man.
Electro is joined by Alfred Molina’s Doctor Otto Octavius andWillem Dafoe’s Green Goblin. Other returning villains include Sandman, who has previously appeared in 2007’sSpider-Man 3, and The Lizard, who appeared in 2012’sThe Amazing Spider-Man. It isn’t confirmed now whether Thomas Haden Church and Rhys Ifans are returning to reprise their respective roles inSpider-Man: No Way Home, but the villainous characters will definitely be making an appearance.
