The nextPalworldupdate is slated to be released this week, according to the game’s community manager.Palworldis easily the biggest surprise hit of the year so far, garnering tens of millions of players just a month after its release. While still relatively new and in early access, fans are looking forward to any new content they can get their hands on.
Palworldreleased an update for Steam and Xboxmost recently on February 7. That patch mostly concentrated on various fixes and countermeasures against cheating. That said, cheating is still an issue that has plaguedPalworld. Initially, meeting player demand was enough to keepPalworlddeveloper Pocket Pair busy, but responding to cheaters has been the team’s latest headache.
According to Pocket Pair community manager Bucky_cm onDiscord,Palworld’s “next update is still scheduled for the end of the month.” In other words,Palworldshould be releasing an update at some point before Friday, March 1. Judging by a recent social media post,Palworldlooks to combat cheatingin this next update, as some players have been unable to connect to servers due to cheating-related complications despite not having cheated. Bucky insists the cheating issue isn’t as widespread as some might think. However, the community manager did state that the team would want to address the problems as soon as possible.
Pocket Pair Teases Next Palworld Update
Outside of fixes to bugs and addressing the cheating issues, it is still unknown what else will be tweaked in the upcoming update.Palworldunveiled its new content roadmaplast month, which looks to add new Pals, islands, bosses, and crossplay among other features. Which, if any, of these features are included in the upcoming update remains to be seen. It is certainly possible this upcoming update could simply focus on bug fixes, cheating countermeasures, and stability patches. Not to mention, it’s possible certain updates could come specifically to the Xbox version of the game to bring it up to par with the Steam version.
The Xbox version ofPalworldhas long been missing features that the Steam version has touted, such as the ability to name the main character and rename Pals. Not to mention, the game’s performance on Xbox has often lagged behind its Steam counterpart.
Interestingly enough, the franchise to whichPalworldis constantly compared will also be getting an update of sorts this week.Pokemonis set to celebrate Pokemon Day this week, which has become not only an annual celebration of the series, but a time for the franchise to announce new games, projects, and updates as well. What The Pokemon Company plans to announce is still a mystery, but some believe thePokemon Presents might feature someGold and Silvernewsthanks to a short video uploaded on the franchise’s official YouTube channel.
