Water is understandably scarce in the barren desert ofMy Time at Sandrock, yet it remains a crucial resource even with the usual hunger and thirst meter management mechanics found in other genres. Without water, Workshop stations can’t function, and if they can’t work, neither can builders.

There’s a strict water rationing policy inMy Time At Sandrock’seponymous town, and players need to adhere to that. Thankfully, water isn’t as rare as it first appears, though players may still want to know the most efficient ways to get a stockpile going for their home base.

Crafting water with Dew in My Time At Sandrock

Where to Get Water in My Time at Sandrock

As silly as it may sound, water can actually be crafted for free by collecting Dew, which is collected by chopping down bushes or collecting plants all over the map. Early on, Burgess will tell players that Dew is best collected in the morning. However, players can still get at any time of the day without having to worry aboutany prerequisite items or other requirements.

An alternative way to get Dew is to build a dedicated Dew Collector. The diagram needed to make one can be obtained by giving eight Data Discs to Qi at the Research Center and waiting three in-game days. After receiving the diagram, players must use the following materials to build their own Dew Collector at an Assembly Station:

Dew Collectors will passively generate usable Dewbetween 21:00 and 07:00. Players are advised to collect any stored Dew before 12:00, or else they will start to evaporate. Additionally, Dew Collectors will not collect anything during a sandstorm, and any stored Dew will evaporate immediately. Inversely, Dew collection will accelerate during rainy weather. A single barrel of water can be crafted at a Worktable by using 10x Dew.

Super Dew Collectorsare enhanced versions of the standard ones that can hold more Dew at once and produce Dew at double the speed. Players need an Intermediate Assembly Station to make one, and they can be refined to hold more water.

Water Worldinside the town also sells water for 55 Gols per 5 barrels. This can be considered expensive early on when players don’t yet have the means to gain a ton of money quickly. However, purchasing water is good for emergencies, especially when players have a lot of items in their crafting station queues.
