InMonster Hunter Rise, players have access to various Palico and Palamute’s, which are essentially the cats and dogs of theMonster Hunteruniverse. Players will need to speak to a specialNPC in Kamura Villageif they want to forge equipment for their Buddy. However, players will first need to get their hands on certain types of Scraps, such asFur Scraps.
Find a Buddy Smithy
To get Fur Scraps, players can trade their materials to either Buddy Smithies in Kamura Village. Buddy Smithy Kojiri hangs out near Nakago the Blacksmith on the second floor of the online Gathering Hub. Upon speaking to either Buddy Smithy, players will have several options, one of which is to Trade for Scraps. OnceMonster Hunter Riseplayers select that option, they will be shown several pages of Scraps that they can craft by using other materials. Fur Scrap is an item on this list and should be seen on the very first page. There is also a “plus” version of Fur Scrap, so if players are looking for a certain kind of scrap, be aware of what is being crafted before losing materials.
Toget Fur Scraps from the Buddy Smithy, players will need to give them some Warm Pelt, Bullfango Pelts, and Gargwa Feathers. Warm Pelt can be carved from Low Rank Kelbi and Anteka. Bullfango Pelts can be obtained by carving Bullfango, and Gargwa Feathers can be obtained by carving Gargwa.

What Fur Scraps Can Be Used for
Fur Scraps can be used to craft Buddy equipment at the Buddy Smithy. Currently, there’s only Palico equipment that can be crafted with Fur Scraps, and none for Palamutes.
