AMinecraftplayer has put their building skills to the test and recreated the Oil Rig, one ofRust’s most popular structures.Minecraftplayers often recreate locations from other famous games using the Mojang game’s resources. What gamers see as a result are large constructions to whichMinecraftplayers devote a lot of time and attention, and show how creative the community can be.
Players have a particular fondness forbuilding locations from theZeldagames inMinecraft, reproducing well-known locations such as Zora’s Domain and Hyrule Castle. That’s not all, though, as forSkyrimfans, there’s no shortage of examples of impressive constructions, be it Solitude, Windhelm, or the Dark Brotherhood. But while some games are fan favorites, another that’s a little less remembered isRust. Released in 2013 by Facepunch Studios,Rustis a survival game for whichMinecraftwas one of its inspirations. Paying homage to both titles, aMinecraftplayer has built a well-knownRustlocation.

Reddit user ImmenseAlvin69 has re-createdRust’s Oil RiginMinecraft, showing an impressively large construction. The images they shared show that the rig has large dimensions and four levels just like its counterpart. The Oil Rig built by OP also has a significant degree of detail, such as the numbering of each level, the cranes on top, and the base of the platform with blocks that reproduce an oxidation effect. Another notable point is the presence of the helipad, with a helicopter landing on it.
Minecraft Player Remembers Rust and Recreates Iconic Oil Rig In-Game
Rustplayers survive by collecting resources while in a hostile environment full of wild animals and radiation. There’s also the danger of other players trying to kill each other to steal stuff. To help them stay alive,Rustplayers build basesand explore the map to find the Monuments, which are structures used as navigation points and ways to get loot. The Oil Rig is one ofRust’s most well known Monuments, located in the sea and heavily guarded by lethal scientists.Rustplayers who succeed in defeating the scientists will be rewarded with high-quality loot, such as C4, and a missile launcher.
Minecrafthas a wide range of features that the OP used in their recreation ofRust’s Oil Rig, such asusing a Redstone torchto give the helipad an extra touch. In this way, the player’s work stands out for its visual fidelity to the original version of the structure and its dimensions, joining the list of players who have created their rendition ofRust’s Oil Rig within Mojang’s sandbox.
