Despite being over five years old,Overwatchfans are continuing to share truly unique plays online. One such play was shared recently, and it should prove to be particularly cool forOverwatchfans familiar with Symmetra and Reinhardt.
When it comes toReinhardtand Symmetra, two of the most crucial aspects of their kits are the pin ability and teleporters. While Reinhardt’s pin can get him into trouble, as many have likely overextended as the character or seen a teammate get themselves killed by using the ability at the wrong time, it can be incredibly effective. As for Symmetra, her teleporter is crucial for repositioning, allowing her teammates to get to the point more quickly or attack from unique angles. An incredible play recently combined these two abilities to great effect, and it could inspire more gamers to attempt to do the same.

WhileOverwatchclips where players combo abilitiesare common, pin and teleporter combos are wildly rare. However, that is exactly what Reddit user Ozyrox showed off, and the play is as amazing as it sounds. The clip begins with the Reinhardt player fighting on the point, holding up their shield and taking some serious damage from several angles. After the opposing team’s D. Va is knocked out of their mech, the Reinhardt user sees an opportunity for an important pin. They take the risk, successfully catching the D.Va before she can get back in her mech.
However, the pin in question takes theD.Va playerright into the path of the teleporter, with the curious Reinhardt pressing the teleport button as they come into contact with Symmetra’s device. Sure enough, they teleport, and the enemy D.Va comes with them. With Reinhardt able to turn slightly when pinning, the player uses this to their advantage, pinning D.Va into one of the light structures on Hanamura’s second capture point. The clip then ends with the overtime countdown ticking down, with the Reinhardt’s team likely winning.
Unsurprisingly,Overwatchfanswere blown away by the play, with the post racking up over 5,000 upvotes. In the comments, gamers were quick to praise the player and point out other fun things that can be done with teleporters. Sanbaddy wondered what the death cam must have looked like for the D.Va player, as going through the portal before being rammed into a wall was likely interesting. Others, like draken2019, said that Ozyrox should thank their Symmetra. With the Reinhardt player having so little health, Symmetra’s teleporter saved them from certain death.
With anOverwatch 2beta rumored, players could soon have a chance to experiment with Symmetra’s teleporters and Reinhardt’s pins in a new game. Hopefully, pinning enemies through teleporters is a returning mechanic in the sequel, as this clip is extremely entertaining.
Overwatchis available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
