Towards the end of Summer Game Fest, the trailer forPalworld’s anticipated update finally appeared. The minute and a half trailer is filled with all the additions coming to the game. Starting off with the new island, an Asian-inspired and mushroom-swamp filled area is explored. New pals, including onePalworlddev’s favorite, were shown. There’s a knight Pal, a type of bug similar to the Pokemon Golisopod, a chest mimic that acts like a puppy, and more.

With the new island comes anotherPalworldfaction.The tower is reminiscent of the night sky, with a woman and her Pal drinking tea on a crescent moon. The boss Pal is another addition to the Paldeck. There’s no indication of where on the island the tower is located, what the name of the faction is, or what abilities they possess.
For those looking to engage in multiplayer differently, the PvP arena will be included in the Sakurajima Update. In the Summer Game Fest 2024 trailer there are six Pals on the battlefield, but no indication of how many players can fight at a time. Players may have to wait until the official patch notes are released to learn the mechanics for the Arena.
Along with the new content comes the promise of dedicated servers for Xbox players. Due to the unexpected popularity at launch,Palworld’s servers were extremely expensiveto maintain without degrading playability. With players clamoring for more server options, including those without resets, the announcement of dedicated servers for Xbox fulfills a big community request.
