Havok’s controversial ability, specifically his negative impact on Max Energy, challengesMarvel Snapfans looking to build a deck around him. Fortunately, the game offers at least two reliable synergies for this card within the bounce and junk archetypes. This guide explains how to maximize both archetypes withtwo META-candidate lineupsfor Havok.
The Best Deck for Havok
Since he limits your Max Energy, the best deck for Havok isa Beast-Falcon bounce lineup. You can assemble this setup by uniting the following cards: Havok, Beast, Falcon, Iceman, Viper, Forge, Gamora, Shang-Chi, The Hood, The Collector, Shadow King, andNico Minoru.

Alternative Junk Deck for Havok
You can integrate Havok intoa junk deck with Annihilus. To replicate this setup, team up the mentioned cards (Havok & Annihulus) and complete the lineup with Nebula, Debrii, Viper, Carnage, Korg, Hobgoblin, The Hood, The Sentry, Green Goblin, and Ravonna Renslayer.

This deck aims to transfer Havok to the opponent’s side by turn three or earlier, locking down their Energy to three points or less for the remainder of the game. The strategy also involves spreading negative Power on the board by deploying The Sentry and The Hood, allowing Annihilus to send them over on turn five or six.
How to Play Havok
There are two approaches to playing Havok: either keep him on your side to accumulate Power or send him over to lock down the opponent’s Energy.
In the first strategy, you aim for Havok to gain +4 Power per turn while spreading Power withlow-Cost cards. In the latter scenario, you swap Havok’s side using Viper, freezing the enemy’s Energy points to their current state for the remainder of the game.
How to Counter Havok
As a passive gainer, Havok is most effectively countered with Shadow King.Shadow King can eliminate Havok’s buff on reveal, resetting his Power back to zero. Another formidable counterplay against Havok is the reliable tech card Shang-Chi. Shang-Chi can dismantle Havok, starting from turn four, given that he has already accumulated +10 Power.
