It is clear to see whyLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagahas been so well received by fans of the franchise, with the release offering the most definitiveLEGO Star Warsexperience that players have ever seen. Covering all three mainline film trilogies in great detail, the scope of content that comes with the title is understandably massive.

With that being said, it is clear thatLEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagastill has room for significant DLC, given the ever-growing amount ofStar Warsstories that have been told through various forms of media over time. One of the most obvious dedicated potential DLCs forThe Skywalker Sagahas long been thought to be one based onThe MandalorianTV show, although a more contemporary DLC based onAndormay be the better option.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga’s Potential Mandalorian DLC

It is no secret that Disney+‘sThe Mandalorianis one of the most popular projects to fall under the covetedStar Warsname in some time, with the show recently entering its third season to heaps of fan anticipation and acclaim. Be it through the marketability ofcute characters like Groguor through the gripping and unique narrative that the show tells within such a familiar universe, it is clear that manyStar Warsfans are enamored with the world ofThe Mandalorian.

Because of this, there have been very vocal and longstanding calls from many fans forThe Skywalker Sagato include its own dedicatedMandalorianDLC. It is of course true that the title does currently have a downloadable character pack that allows players to embody the likes of Din Djarin and Grogu, but this is as far as players have got in terms fo receiving a comprehensiveMandoDLC retelling the climactic events of the show.

Diego Luna In Andor

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga and Andor DLC

While it is true thatThe Mandalorianis still an immensely popularStar Warsshowthat is still relevant thanks to its ongoing nature, it remains that another Disney+ show has surprisingly taken a large amount of the spotlight away from Din Djarin’s bounty hunting exploits. Another show to fall under the widerStar Warsname,Andorreleased in September 2022 to huge acclaim for the franchise’s fan base.

Andortells a much more intimate and grounded narrative experience than what fans have come to expect fromStar Wars, telling the tale of Rebel spy Cassian Andorprior to his large involvement in the events of 2016’sRogue One. Moving slightly away from the bombastic star power of Jedi and Sith,Andorcrucially offers a more human experience that conveys the power of human sacrifice and dedication against tyranny, further humanizing the famous rebellion while showing the Empire in a more oppressive light.

WithAndorbeing such a success forStar Wars, it is no wonder that fans want to see a dedicatedAndorDLC forThe Skywalker Saga. Of course, this somewhat juxtaposes the previous level of fan desire for aMandalorianDLC for the game, but the franchise may have missed the opportunity to achieve this. It remains that the more explosive events ofThe Mandalorianmay translate better toLEGOgameplay than those ofAndor, but the latter clearly has the power of recency and critical acclaim on its side.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagais available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
