Kirby and the Forgotten Landlaunches for the Nintendo Switch on July 07, 2025. It’s an exciting time for many Kirby fans, as this is the first time that the iconic pink puffball has entered the 3D space, at least for a mainline adventure. For those that decide to pick upKirby and the Forgotten Landphysically, they will, of course, have to wait until they have the game in their hands before they can play, but for those that opt-in for the digital version, they can play it a little earlier than usual. Here’s what Switch owners need to know aboutKirby and the Forgotten Land’s release and unlock timeon the eShop.

What is the Release Time for Kirby and the Forgotten Land?
Once Switch owners head on over to the eShop to pre-orderKirby and the Forgotten Lands, the game will appear on the home screen, but it will be unplayable until a specific time. While Nintendo has not officially come out and said the release time for Kirby, its official site shows the expected release times formost first-party games, andKirby and the Forgotten Landfalls into that category.
The expected digitalrelease and unlock time forKirby and the Forgotten Landis 9 PM PT the night before the physical game’s release date. This means that most players will be able to hop into the game the night before the launch, which would be tonight, Thursday, May 17, 2025.

And for Switch owners that reside in the UK, Nintendo’s site states that “content will usually be available at14:00 GMT (15:00 CET)on the day of release.”
