WithJump Force’slaunch having come and gone, it’s safe to presume that there are many players diving into all that the multi-platform fighting game from Bandai Namco Entertainment and Spike Chunsoft has to offer. Of course, some invariably have their eyes set on the horizon for the title’s post-launch content, and it appears as if the companies have an idea as to when the first batch of DLC will arrive.

It appears as ifBandai Namcoand Spike Chunsoft will be adding the first wave of DLC content toJump Forcestarting in May 2019. As of now, however, there’s no telling just what kind of assets will be included in the fighting game’s initial pack for expansion materials. With this being the case, the identities of the nine DLC characters joining the roster still remain in question.

It must be mentioned that while all of the planned DLC can be bought individually, the expansion content forJump Forceis also going to be a part of the fighting game’s season pass, which should set players back about $30 for the purchase. It remains to be seen at this point how frequent the new roster members will be added to the title, though, as Bandai Namco could release the add-on fighters in a piecemeal manner akin toDragon Ball FighterZ’s post-launch model of putting out two fresh characters as a time.

For those unaware,Jump Force’s base game currently has a pretty sizable selection of playable characters. The list comes to a total of 42 roster members, with some needing to be unlocked throughout the course of the game. Certain characters will become available at specific points in the story, so players won’t be able to play as everyone right at the get-go in single player.

All things considered, it will be interesting to see just who Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft will incorporate intoJump Forceas post-launch DLC. The fighting game has plenty of intellectual properties to choose from, so we will have to wait and see whether the fighters come from theDragon Ball Z,One Piece, andNarutouniverses, or perhaps from entirely different IPs altogether.

Jump Forceis available now for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
