A demo forIron Man VRmay soon be coming to the PS4.
Iron Man VRwas first announced last year by developer Camouflaj. It was originally supposed to be released in 2019, however the game was delayed to “Meet the high expectations of [its] amazing community.“Iron Man VRis now scheduled to be released May 15th 2020, so it makes sense that there will soon be a demo released.

The rumor comes from the now suspended Twitter account PSN Releases. While it was up, PSN Releases tracked uploads to the PSN network from different regions. Considering theamount of PS4 exclusive games, that’s quite a large task. The now deleted tweet read “The game Marvel’s Iron Man VR - Demo with id CUSA18232 has been added to the PS4 Japanese PSN!” It’s hard to glean exactly what this means for theIron Man VRdemo. This could just be some sort of internal testing, or it could mean the demo is just around the corner. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement to find out.
So far little is known aboutIron Man VR’s gameplay. What is known is that the game will be first person and players will be operating the iconic Iron Man suit. In theIron Man VRgameplay trailerthat came out last year, fans were given a brief glimpse of some of the powers the suit will grant them, including machine guns for fighting enemies, and water cannons to put out fires.
Players have also learned about the content of the game thanks to theESRB rating description forIron Man VR. The game will more violent than some fans expected, even featuring a cut-scene in which where Tony Stark gets his arc reactor “ripped out of his chest.” While the game got a T for Teen rating, fans are certainly excited that the game is willing to take on more adult themes.
While VR technology is certainly impressive, there still hasn’t been a must play game that pushes VR into the mainstream. While some fans thinkHalf Life: Alyxwill be that game, considering the popularity of Marvel, it’s possible thatIron Man VRwill be the game that finally has people taking the plunge into VR.
Iron Man VRwill launch exclusively for PlayStation VR on August 04, 2025.
