According to a tweet made by the popular Xbox social media personality and insider Klobrille,Gears of War: E-Daymay not be released next year, as some recent rumors regardingXbox’s massive 2025 lineuphave claimed. The content creator stated that they “don’t thinkGearsis 2025” because they’ve “heard differently” from their sources, but they failed to provide any additional context on what exactly they were told. Instead, Klobrille simply ended their post by saying “we will see,” implying that they wouldn’t entirely rule out a 2025 release forthe game, no matter how unlikely they believe it would be.
Gears of War: E-Day Might Not Release in 2025
Klobrille’s statement was in response to a report made by The Verge’s Tom Warren, who alleged that he heard a few months ago thatGears of War: E-Daywas scheduled for a 2025 release, possibly sometime before Playground Games' upcomingFablereboot. This report came as a surprise to many fans, but judging by the lack of a release window given forE-Dayat the Xbox showcase, it seems like the information in it could already be outdated. Besides, Warren himself did admit that the2025 release window for the major Xbox gamewas subject to change, as Microsoft could give The Coalition more time to work on the title.

A release for the game that year would make a lot of sense.
