Halo Infinite’s full launch is scheduled for December 8, just under four weeks from now. Yet the team at 343 Industries may have a surprise for Halo fans anxious to start playing the long-awaited first-person shooter. Evidence has been growing in recent days pointing to an early launch forHalo Infinite’s multiplayer, with a planned release coinciding with Xbox’s 20th Anniversary event on Monday, November 15. Official confirmation remains absent, obviously, but it’s growing more difficult to deny the evidence at hand.

Initial reporting surrounding the potential early release forHalo Infinite’s multiplayer stemmed from adatamine of the Xbox storefront. Data in the listing forHalo Infinite’s multiplayer referenced a “PreOrderReleaseDate” of November 15. Once news of this information began spreading online, several notable leakers including The Verge’s Tom Warren began either hinting at or outright stating thatHalo Infinitemultiplayer would be delivered on November 15.

Now the story has developed even further. The most persuasive development coming from 343 Industries itself, sort of. Website HaloHubGG says that it was able to “pull data” from 343’s servers, something it’s done as part of officially approved stat tracking forHalo: The Master Chief Collectionand in preparation forHalo Infinite’s launch. It says that the data it pulled confirmed two things. First, thatHalo Infinite’s data servers are currently online, and second, thatHalo Infinite’s first multiplayer season, named Heroes of Reach, starts November 15.

Expanding on the data it pulled regardingHalo Infinite’s seasonal information, there are additional details tied to something called “Fracture” events. Fracture events, which for season one are dubbed “Tenrai,” will run on very specific dates. The first will be between November 23 and November 29, the second between January 4 and January 10, and the third between February 1 and February 7. While it isn’t clear what these Fracture events are, it’s yet more evidence of a November launch.

Again, there is no official confirmation thatHalo Infinite’s multiplayerwill launch on November 15. If it is, it would be announced during Xbox’s 20th Anniversary event scheduled for November 15 at 10:00 AM PT/1:00 PM ET.

Some question the decision to launchHalo Infinite’s multiplayer ahead of the campaign, or note thatForza Horizon 5launchedjust this past week and aHalo Infiniteearly release would eat into its player base. However, November 15 isn’t just Xbox’s 20th anniversary, but also Halo’s. It’s a ripe opportunity to celebrate Halo in a way that will be remembered. Stay tuned.
