This past week has been a stressful one forGod of Warfans. There were rumors thatGod of War Ragnarokwould be at Summer Game Fest to reveal its release date, but the show came and went with no mention of Kratos' next adventure. Then there were rumors that sinceGod of War Ragnarokwas a no-show at Summer Game Fest that the game had been delayed to 2023, which would be especially frustrating for fans since it was originally meant to launch all the way back in 2021.
However, it seems worries about a potentialGod of War Ragnarokrelease date delaywere premature. According to a new report by Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, there are currently no plans to delayGod of War Ragnarokout of 2022. According to Bloomberg’s sources,God of War Ragnarokwas originally going to release at some point in September, but it’s now going to launch in November instead. A specificGod of War Ragnarokrelease date in November was not mentioned in the report, but it did acknowledge the possibility that plans could change, and it could very well end up delayed to 2023 by the time it’s all said and done.

Besides the many third-party releases that will launch in the fall months, Sony has also confirmedThe Last of Us Part 1, aPS5 remake of the originalLast of Usgame, is going to launch on September 2. SinceThe Last of Us Part 1is releasing in September, perhaps part of the reason whyGod of War Ragnarokis being moved to November is to avoid having the games release so close together, but that’s just speculation at this time.
As far asGod of War Ragnarokgoes, fans don’t know a ton about the game or what it will entail, and it’s likely to say that way until launch.
