AGenshin Impactfan has started an interesting discussion in the community about the game’s treasure-hunting experience, and they have come up with a suggestion to make it better. Exploration has been one of the three major parts of the game alongside the interesting storyline and the unique combat system.
Payers have been likingGenshin Impact’s recent approach to world design and exploration with the new major region. However, it seems like there are still some sizable issues that need fixing, especially for dedicated completionists.

Reddit user ShiftYourCarcass has proposed an interesting way to solve one of the main problems in the game’s exploration system. The post has proven that despite having 100% exploration progress on a region, players can still miss a number of chests. Even though the player maxed out the exploration progress for all the regions in the game, they still managed to miss over 336 chests, which means that players have been missing tons of precious items without even noticing. To make exploration easier, developerHoYoverse has released their official interactive mapthat shows the location of all the important items and locations in the game.
Even though the interactive map shows all of Teyvat’s chests, it would be almost impossible to guess which ones have already been opened considering that thegame features over 4.600 chests overall. ShiftYourCarcass claims that if players would be able to sync their accounts with the interactive map, the exploration process would be much easier since the collected chests would not appear on the map. Multiple replies in the comment section claim that they did not know about this issue, and once they reach 100% on a region, they stop searching for additional chests.
A number of fans have stated that they are not as proud of their exploration achievements anymore after they found out about this problem. However, they still claim that they can’t really complain aboutGenshin Impact’s explorationsince the recently added major region took this part of the game to the next level. The new Sumeru region that arrived in 3.0 also introduced a brand-new element named Dendro, which had a huge impact on the character meta.
The majority of the community seems very satisfied with everything Sumeru has to offer, and it seems like a new map expansion is on its way. Recent leaks have been hinting that one of the upcoming updates will introduce the third part of Sumeru, which will apparently be another desert. The game has already introduced a desert part of Teyvat to the game inGenshin Impactversion 3.1, which quickly became a fan-favorite.
