Furina is expected to be introduced to the RPG as a DPS-oriented character, using a unique mechanic to sap her allies' HP to strengthen her own attacks and healing effects. Leaks have also claimed Furina will be able to use both the Pneuma and Ousia alignments of Fontaine’s Arkhe system, switching between them on the fly. Now, the newest leaks are giving a closer look at Furina’s Elemental Skill.

A gameplay video shared by prominentGenshin Impactleaker Mero reveals anin-game look at Furina’s Elemental Skill. When her Elemental Skill is activated, Furina sends out three Hydro mimics to attack her enemies, dealing Hydro damage with both melee and ranged attacks. The three mimics remain on the battlefield for a short time after activation, with each having their own attack patterns and automatically targeting enemies. The video does not clarify whether theattacks from Furina’s Hydro mimicsare single-target or if some attacks will deal AoE damage.
Early footage of Furina’s Elemental Skill has already seen many fans drawing comparisons to one ofGenshin Impact’s past events. Several have likened both the appearance and attack patterns of the mimics to be similar to the Fungi fromGenshin Impact’s “Fabulous Fungi Frenzy” event. The event would not be the first time aGenshin Impactmechanic has taken inspiration from a past event, with Nahida’s Elemental Skill also drawing from the “Fayz Trials” event. Furina is expected to release withthe launch of Version 4.2in early November.
Furina’s premiere in Version 4.2 will come alongside the debut of another character many fans have been waiting for inGenshin Impact. Furina will be joined by the addition of Steambird reporter Charlotte as a new four-star character, the first playable character from Fontaine to be revealed in-game.Recent leaks have also teased Charlotte’s gameplay, using her camera to deal Cryo damage and healing allies with her Elemental Burst. Furina and Charlotte will look to bring a pair of unique new additions toGenshin Impact’s roster with their debut in November.
