Genshin Impactupdate 2.6 has introduced a new character as well as a re-run for one of the fan-favorite characters. Limited banners last for around three weeks before another limited five-star character becomes obtainable.
EachGenshin Impactupdate is usually divided into two separate banner cycles, which include a set of new limited five-star characters and weapons. Intriguingly, though, aGenshin Impactfan recently revealed what happens if Primogems are spent on a banner which is about to expire.

A video posted on the Genshin Impact subreddit by user SilDaz shows an interesting animation involving Venti’s Limited banner, and it should prove interesting to those wondering what happens if banners are pulled when time runs out. Apparently, the animation simply cuts back to theGenshin ImpactStandard banner, which is the only one left once the double character and the weapon banner disappear. Venti has been a part of the first banner cycle where he was paired with a new character Kamisato Ayato on a double banner which arrived on March 30 and ended with April 19.
The video has caught the attention of a lot of fans in the community, as the post has gathered over 4,000 upvotes. Multiple replies in the comment section ask a very important question about where the 160 Primogems that were spent to pull on the banner have gone. It was later clarified that thePrimogems are simply stored into an Intertwined Fate, which is not displayed since the screen is stuck on the Standard Banner, meaning that only Acquaint Fates are revealed.
The double banner was very popular in the community, and it’s one of themost successfulGenshin Impactlimited bannersin terms of revenue. Venti still serves as one of the strongest support characters and can be added to almost anyGenshin Impactteam composition despite being released back in 2020. Ayato is a very strong DPS character that can also be put in the sub-DPS kit thanks to his unique abilities.
The third limited five-star character that has been added in this update as part of the second banner cycle is Kamisato Ayaka. She is also one of thebest DPS characters inGenshin Impact, with a strong focus on elemental damage. She has great synergy with her brother Ayato considering that they can constantly apply Frozen, one of the best elemental reactions in the game. Her The Heron’s Court banner has arrived on April 22 and is scheduled to last until May 10.
Genshin Impactis available now on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A Switch version is currently in development with no confirmed release date.
