There are several roles a character can fill inGenshin Impact. Some units are highly flexible, like Ganyu and Kokomi, while some others are really niche, such as Gorou and Kujou Sara. Meanwhile,Genshin Impactcharacters like Thoma place in the middle, where he can fit in many teams, but can only fill one role.

Thoma is the most recent addition tothe roster of shielders inGenshin Impact, where he brings Pyro shields to the table, similar to Xinyan. However, unlike the Liyue Rockstar, Thoma’s kit doesn’t allow him to play as a main DPS.
Thoma’s Best Weapons In Genshin Impact
InGenshin Impact, Thoma’s main role is a shield support. As of version 2.5, he’s the only character that can maintain 100% shield uptime without a weapon effect (alongside Zhongli, of course). He alsodeals damage periodically when his Elemental Burst is active. This ability will not steal the DPS’s Elemental Reaction, so players won’t have to worry about pairing him with characters like Hu Tao.
Because Thoma’s shield is the strongest when his Elemental Burst is active, he highly relies on this ability to support the team. Unfortunately, he has poor Energy production, so he can’t recharge his Burst on his own. To fix this, players can either pair him with a Battery like Bennett or use an Energy Recharge weapon.
This Energy issue doesn’t last, though. If Thomacomes home four more times and unlocks his fourth Constellation, players can focus more on other stats. This is because Thoma’s C4 grants 15 Energy after he casts his Elemental Burst.
Best Weapons For C0 Thoma
If Thoma has zero Constellation, players should focus on a Polearm that enhances his Energy regeneration. So weapons with Energy Recharge (ER) are the way to go.
Best Weapons For C4 Thoma
Meanwhile, if players manage to get C4 Thoma, they should first test how he performs without an Energy Recharge Polearm. If his Elemental Burst fills up without a hitch, then Travelers can swap his weapon to those that enhance his HP.
