Elemental Reaction is a major mechanic inGenshin Impactthat makes the game unique. In version 3.0, the gameplay system is finally complete with the release of Dendro Elemental Reaction inGenshin Impact.
Unsurprisingly, this feature is carried even to the more trivial part of the game. For example, when players are playing Pokemon with Fungi in the Fabulous Fungus Frenzy event, Elemental Reaction is involved in the gameplay. In the card game of Genius Invokation TCG, Elemental Reaction is also a major part of the game mode, so it’s crucial that players get familiar with all of them.

Meanwhile, as players can’t apply Anemo and Geo on enemies, the order of the followingGenshin ImpactTCG Elemental Reactions can’t be swapped.Swirl and Crystallized can only occur if the enemy previously has Cryo, Hydro, Electro, or Pyro attached on them.
How Do Elemental Reactions Work In Genshin Impact TCG?
InGenshin ImpactTCG, Elemental Reactions will occur if players hit a card with two different Elements. Most playable cards deal Physical DMG on their basic attack and Elemental DMG on their Skill and Burst, but there are a few exceptions. For example,Catalyst characters inGenshin Impactalways deal Elemental DMG even on their basic attack. Some monsters, like the Oceanid, also deal Elemental DMG on their basic attack.
After hitting an enemy with Elemental DMG, the Element will be applied on them (except Anemo and Geo). Then, if players hit the affected enemy with a reactive Element, Elemental Reactions will occur.
Let’s say players hit a card with Diluc’s Skill and apply Pyro. Afterward, the same character ishit by Hydro via Xingqiu’s Skill inGenshin Impact. Pyro + Hydro creates Vaporize, which increases Xingqiu’s Skill DMG by 2.
The attached Element won’t disappear on its own, but players can also utilize Elemental cleansing inGenshin ImpactTCG. To cleanse, simply use character Skills that self-apply a reactive Element.
For example, if players’ card isaffected by Pyro inGenshin Impact, they can remove it with Hydro using Xingqiu’s or Barbara’s Skill. Just be careful with this mechanic as self-application also opens the road for the enemy to trigger Elemental Reactions.
