A Redditor going by the name BeRnUgEek posted a clip showing them run through a dungeon inElden Ring. The video starts with the player jumping around a room, having a good time. They then approach some barrels where they make a terrible mistake.

When BeRnUgEek swings at the barrels, they explode, and the explosion kills the player immediately. According to the title of the clip, BeRnUgEek seemed to have forgotten that their weapon dealt fire damage, which is what caused the barrels to explode. It is a very untimely death and a good reminder to remember what properties that weapons being used have.

Many of those who commented on BeRnUgEek’s post are sympathetic towards their death. One gamer commented that they play a fire build and know that the barrels explode, and yet they have died from them countless times. Others bring up similar situations while using weapons such as the Blasphemous Blade, stating that they also sent themselves to apremature and explosive death inElden Ring. One reader states that this was how they realized their weapon dealt fire damage. Then there were the few who gave advice by stating that barrels and furniture should be rolled through, as it will cause fewer accidents.

BeRnUgEek is not the only one dying accidental deaths inElden Ring. A Redditor going by the name theprofoundnoun posted a clip that shows them watch one of the white spirits inElden Ringfall to their death. After theprofoundnoun warps into an area, they run to a cliff edge where they see the white spirit. The spirit approaches the ledge and pulls out their crossbow. They then perform a kick, which pushed them far enough forward to fall off of the cliff. It is another example of a player dying due to a mistake rather than to an enemy or the environment. While many do fall to the world ofElden Ring, oftentimes players show that a simple mistake on their parts can send them to the grave just as fast.
