Forza Horizon 5players will no doubt be familiar with the variety of quests and challenges that the game offers. The different seasons in the game have their own challenges that players can complete during that week and these challenges include taking pictures of different landmarks, meeting certain speed goals, and even destroying property. This feature brings players to every corner ofForza Horizon 5’s map and gives out rewards like items and new Forza Link options.
BecauseForza Horizon 5’s map is the largest in the series, some of these challenges can be difficult to track down and complete. One of the recent challenges that players have been asked to take on involves the Baja region ofForza Horizon 5. Where are the Floating Chinese Lanterns
The challenge is a part of the Winter season in the game and asks players to track down theChinese lanternsrecently placed onForza Horizon 5’s mapand players need to head to the western portion of the map to find them. Starting from the Horizon Baja Outpost, players need to head towards the sandy area known as the Dunas Blancas to the southwest.
The floating Chinese lanterns are scattered all over these sand dunes. The majority of these are along the top of the sand dunes with a large group of them floating over a valley. This is the only location for these lanterns and, fortunately, there are quite a few to run into.
How to Complete Light the Beacons
to complete thisquest/challenge inForza Horizon 5, players have to drive through these floating lanterns and knock them down. Players have to smash 50 and may be better off approaching this task at night when the beacons should be lit. During the day, these lanterns can blend in with the sand around them and make this a bit more challenging than originally intended.
There are a number of greatoff-road vehicles inForza Horizon 5and any of these would work well to complete this challenge. There are plenty of lanterns scattered around these dunes for players to run into, but there may be a number of other players attempting the challenge at the same time, so it is best to be careful.
Players can also use this opportunity to complete the Another One Lights the Dust accolade that requires players to smash into 25 lanterns while driving either the Toyota AT37 or AT38. These cars can be quite rare but are rewards for completing enough quests in a particular season in the game.
