About a month ago, the video game developer Epic Games decided to provideFortniteBattle Royale players with a new way to get around the game’s map in Season 8 by introducing the spherical vehicle known asThe Baller. Now, it looks as if the studio has been tinkering with the round vehicle’s attributes, and has concluded that The Baller’s overall health needs to be nerfed in the game.
According to an announcement recently made byFortnitedeveloper Epic Games, the studio deployed a hot-fix not too long ago that wound up reducing the health of The Baller from 300 to 200. What’s more is that the company commented on the fact that it had once mentioned in Update 8.20’s patch notes that it would possibly add the ability to shoot through the glass of Ballers in a future patch, but ultimately, Epic has decided “it didn’t feel like the right solution”.

Shortly after the globe-shaped vehicle was introduced intoFortniteBattle Royale,The Baller was disableddue to Epic Games' discovery that it was causing a stability issue within the free-to-play title. The vehicle was only briefly on hiatus before it was then brought back. Nevertheless, this recent nerf indicates that Epic has been keeping a close eye on how the fan base has been reacting to The Baller ever since its return.
For those uninitiated, The Baller is one of several vehicles that has made an appearance inFortniteBattle Royale throughout the game’s various seasons.Fortnitehas hosted the Quadcrasher, the Driftboard, the Shopping Cart, and even an aerial vehicle in the X-4 Stormwing plane just to name a few.
Taking everything here into consideration, it will be interesting to see if Epic Games decides to make any further tweaks to The Baller’s attributes, and if the vehicle will stick around for Season 9 ofFortniteBattle Royale. Should The Baller get Vaulted next season, it wouldn’t be the first vehicle to be retired, as Epic put the aforementioned X-4 Stormwing in the Vault when Season 8 arrived.
Fortniteis available now in early access for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, Switch, and Xbox One.
