In anticipation of a larger reveal at E3 2016, Ubisoft releases a trailer teasing the arrival of the vikings in the upcoming hack and slash action gameFor Honor.

Ubisoft’s E3 2015 press conferencesaw the announcement of a number of new game sequels, but one of the more popular games from the event was the brand new IPFor Honor. It looks as thoughFor Honorwill have a presence at this year’s E3 as well, as Ubisoft has released a teaser trailer for the game that focuses on its viking faction.

The teaser trailer is very brief, but appears to show a CG cinematic of viking ships trying to invade one of the other factions in the game. The trailer doesn’t make it clear if the vikings are trying to attack the samurais or knights, but it could be our first real hint of whatFor Honor’s single player campaignwill be like.

Perhaps the single player campaign inFor Honorwill detail viking invasions of the other two factions in the game. This would mean that the samurais and knights probably wouldn’t interact outside ofFor Honor’s multiplayer mode, but again, this is just speculation until Ubisoft decides to offer fans more substantial details on what the game’s single player campaign will entail.

With the addition ofFor Honorto the lineup,Ubisoft’s E3 2016 press conferenceis shaping up to be one of the most exciting conferences of the expo. The company promises to bringFor Honor,Watch Dogs 2,andGhost Recon: Wildlandsto the event, and that’s not even including some surprise announcements that are likely in store as well.

Of course, when watching Ubisoft’s press conference this year, fans should take any gameplay footage with a grain of salt.Ubisoft’s E3 trailers have a history of misleading fans, often boasting graphics that are far greater than what is possible in the final product. So whenFor Honoris shown at E3 this year, be sure to take any footage with a grain of salt.

Even if the footage shown ofFor Honorat this year’s E3 doesn’t quite match how the actual game looks when it releases, it should still offer fans an idea as to what to expect from the gameplay. We’ve already seenFor Honor’s multiplayer in action, so hopefully Ubisoft uses this year’s E3 to expand on its single player campaign, reveal any other gameplay features that the team has been working on, and possibly announce a release date.

For Honoris in development for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
