Summary
AFallout 4player shares a video featuring an athletic Radscorpion that quickly scales a building to access their sniper’s nest. Radscorpions have been prominent members of theFalloutbestiary since the first game, but theFallout 4Radscorpion may be the most capable one.
The Radscorpion has changed in appearance acrosstheFalloutgames, but each one is a variant of a radiated scorpion. The Radscorpion has been black, brown, and a shade of pink since they were featured in the first games, with its size being adjusted in each. Beyond the standard Radscorpion, there have also been Giant, Small, Glowing, Spitting, and Large Giant Radscorpions. The Radscorpion is often an early challenge forFalloutplayers, as they have large health pools, a small weak spot, and can poison their enemies. One gamer was sniping from the roof of a Boston rooftop when a Radscorpion quickly made it up the tower when their attention was diverted.

Reddit user Gct99 recently shared aFallout 4clip in which they’re sniping at unsuspecting enemies below. The player spots a Radscorpion atop a heavily damaged tower and takes a shot at it, but looks away when the hostile mob disappears from sight. The player then locates a Legendary Raider that runs across a nearby rooftop, shooting the NPC when they return to their post. After taking this shot, the gamer turns around to see the Radscorpion that was sniped in combat with theirFallout 4companion, Dogmeat. With the powerful enemy closing the distance so quickly, the player swaps to a Combat Shotgun and the clip concludes. The clip includes some crass language, but it can be viewedhere.
How Did This Radscorpion Climb So High?
As the player looks away from the Radscorpion pursuing them, it’s currently unclear how it could have reached them. The enemy is known for burrowing underground to approach gamers without being shot, and it appears that this Radscorpion emerges from a dirt pile on the roof. As this dirt pile is disconnected from where it came from, burrowing may have allowed it to quickly teleport up the tower. Gct99 was presumably taking shots at enemies below assuming that the only threat would be gunfire from the Raiders. AsFallout 4Super Mutants, Turrets, and Synths could also return fire, this gamer may have gotten lucky in their primary threat being a Radscorpion.
It’s unclear if this Radscorpion is affected by one of themanyFallout 4glitchesor if Bethesda intends for them to have the ability to traverse towers. Bethesda continues to update the game which may result in things being changed if it’s a bug. Otherwise, gamers may be able to replicate what Gct99 experienced.
