AnOverwatch 2fan shared a charming edit that shows what Hanzo’s new Cupid skin would look like inHades 2. The modified screenshot shows how perfect the popular Valentine’s DayOverwatch 2skin would be in Supergiant Games’ highly-anticipated sequel.
Overwatch 2began its Valentine’s Day event last week. The in-game event has special challenges, new skins, and a new game mode centered around Cupid Hanzo, the headline cosmetic introduced to the shop during the holiday. However, outside the game,Overwatch 2made a hilarious dating siminvolving Hanzo, Mercy, and Genji, where players can earn some cute icons, titles, and highlight intros.

Redditor andOverwatch 2fan JollySieg noticed theLoverwatchdating sim’s 2D art style looked a little familiar. They then snagged Cupid Hanzo’s appearance from the dating sim and put him into a screenshot fromHades 2’srecent reveal footage. They even changed the text box to be more thematic, inserting Cupid’s name, title, and a quote fromHanzo’snewOverwatch 2skin. The edited screenshot highlights the similarities between theart styles for bothHadesandLoverwatch.
Interestingly enough, fans could technically see Cupid show up inHades 2. Cupid is the Roman equivalent of the Greek god Eros. Depending on the myth, Eros is believed to be the son of either Nyx or of Ares and Aphrodite. Considering all three of these gods appeared inHades 1, and Nemesis and Moros – two other children of Nyx – are coming, Eros joining the cast as anew god inHades 2is quite possible.
JollySieg’s fellowOverwatch 2andHadesfans loved the mashup from this screenshot. The comments section of the Reddit post was quickly filled with excitement forHades 2, proclamations of Hanzo’s attractiveness, and quotes from Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love a Bad Name.” Some fans unfamiliar withHanzo inOverwatch 2were even tricked into thinking the screenshot was official confirmation of a new god coming toHades 2.
The Valentine’s Day event inOverwatch 2and theLoverwatchdating sim will be available through the end of February. Players can complete the special Support-themed event challenges to earn voice lines, skins, and other cosmetics forOverwatch 2during this time.Hades 2is still early in development, but Supergiant Games has confirmed new information will be coming this year. Until then, players will have to wonder if Eros will look anything like Hanzo if he does end up joining the cast ofHades 2.
